o Is up & running!!
o Question about the ‘Under Construction” pages? Per Larry, these should be up & running by May 1st. Membership form will be added plus the newsletter in PDF form.
o Only Members can post to the site with a user name & password. Larry will send these out via mail when ready.
o The relationship with MACT & Michael Mesick is now severed.

MACT Fest
|
o Presentation of Intent to host from Red Wing’s Sheldon Theater. Reps present were Sean Dowse, Mary & Ralph Rauterkus. Major concern is the cost. Basic proposal – how much do we need/want Red Wing Sheldon to provide?
o Discussion – selling ads, corporate sponsorship, facility costs, and grants from SE Minnesota arts. Sheldon would provide volunteer ushers, tech volunteers, house managers plus opening night reception. Many hotels in the area, they are working on setting up rates.
o Discussion on ticket prices, workshop locations (within one block), silent auction room, seats 466, all accessible. Looking at week of March 11 – 15. (Mid April may be too late to get into the AACT Regionals)
o Thank you to Sean, Mary & Ralph for coming to the meeting!
o Presentation of Intent to host from Paradise Theater in Faribault. Rep – Julianna Skluzacek/Merlin Players.
o The backstage will be ready in 2009 for the 3 10x10 staging areas. Julianna discussed the Paradise items/prospectus. Theater is all accessible and stage area will be.
o Tim Ray makes a motion to the Board – that IF Faribault can guarantee a final amount of no more than $2500, we will go with them – anything above that amount, we will go to Red Wing. Larry 2nd motion.
o Discussion. Vote – it is passed with one opposed.
o ***UPDATE 2/20/08: Tami Oches from Paradise Theater has agreed to a $1500 rental fee for the entire event plus the $1000 for the tech. director. Tami will write letter to Julianna to confirm these costs. We will proceed with the plan to go to Faribault. Julianna will contact Sean Dowse at Red Wing.
