MACT*Fest 2005
Minnesota Association of Community Theatres’
2005 Play Festival
April 14th through April 17th
at the
Albert Lea Civic Theatre
On Broadway in Albert Lea, MN
The festival features adjudicated performances by 14 community theatre companies from across Minnesota, workshops, a silent auction and lots of opportunities to network with other theatre lovers.
The adjudicators were Mary Britt, the next President of AACT; Tisch Jones, University of Iowa theatre faculty; and Graydon Royce, theatre critic for the Minneapolis Star/Tribune.
MACT*Fest follows the rules of the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT) festivals www.AACT.org
Those rules include:
Productions may be a cutting from a full length play or musical, a one act play or any other production of a theatrical nature.
The production may not exceed 60 minutes.
10 minutes are allowed for setup time and 10 minutes for strike time.
The set must fit into a 10’ x 10’ storage area.
Participants may not be paid for their participation in the festival production.
Actors may not earn more that 25% of a living wage from acting in live performances.
