MACT Annual Meeting
see www.mact.net for information

Theater members of MACT are eligible to apply to enter.  Everyone is welcome to attend!

Registration information is available using the links below. Rules are very similar to those used in 2006.

One question that has come up that is not included in the published material is in regards to the cost to participate. There is no registration fee for a theatre to present at FAST*Fest (beyond being a member theatre). However, all participants are expected to purchase a ticket for at least the session they are presenting in. There will be 3 sessions on Saturday, one in the morning (3 plays), one in the afternoon (4 plays) and one in the evening (4 plays).

A full package is available for $40 that includes an entertainment event (see below) and welcome reception Friday night, all the Saturday sessions and a post show "gala" on Saturday night.

Individual items may also be purchased a la carte. Individual session tickets are $10. The Friday evening entertainment and welcome party will cost $15. The Saturday evening "gala" will cost $12.

Photo of "The Half Steps" a cappella group

Friday night’s entertainment will be provided by The Half Steps. The Half Steps are a St. Cloud-based a cappella group, featuring Charlie Opatz, Richard Witteman, Gary Zwack ,and Paul Fedor. They formed in 1995 and had good chemistry from the get-go. More than a decade later, they do eight to 12 shows a year, mostly private performances and corporate functions, perform a public show every year or two, and share a lot of laughs and have a lot of fun. Now, Pioneer Place is pleased to be the recipient of one of those rare "public shows" .

The Half Steps repertoire includes everything from "Book of Love" to an ABBA medley that touches on 13 songs in seven minutes. They also sing classics like "That’s Amore" and "It’s Now or Never", thanks to Witteman, who does a great Dean Martin and Elvis!!

The Half Steps have released two CDs including a Christmas/holiday compilation called Half’y Holdays that features some traditional Christmas classics and newer songs like "Blue Christmas" and the Harry Connick, Jr. tune "(It Must’ve Been Ol’) Santa Claus."

Their concerts are energenic, entertaining, and a treat for the whole audiences. Come on down and enjoy the fun!
