FAST*Fest 2010
On Saturday, June19, 2010 MACT will, for the third time, hold a Fast*Fest. The festival will be at the Alexandria Area Arts Association’s facility in downtown Alexandria.
FAST*Fest is a short play festival following these guidelines:
1. Presenting Companies need to be a current organizational member of MACT.
2. Productions are limited to 20 minutes in length.
3. Companies have 5 minutes to setup and 5 minutes to strike.
4. A standard light plot is provided – no specials.
5. The facility's sound equipment is available. (CD Playback)
6. A table and 4 chairs will be provided.
7. Companies can bring one additional set piece.
8. Ten shows will be presented, five in the afternoon and five in the evening.
9. The companies need to have permission to use any material under copyright including the show.
10.There will be no rehearsal time for the shows in the facility.
11.An experienced theatre person will lead a discussion about the shows with the audience.
12.A modest admission fee of $10 per session will be charged.
We are planning an opening night reception for Friday night and a closing party on Saturday. The MACT annual membership meeting will be on Saturday at 11:00 am.
